Community Energy Benefit Program
Mornington BESS is committed to ensuring the local community shares directly in the benefits of the energy transition.
During project operations, 50 local households, businesses and sporting groups are eligible to participate in the Community Energy Benefit Program.
Participants will receive a quarterly payment of $125 through the Reswitch platform, providing direct financial support to help offset electricity costs. This equates to $500 per year for each participant.

Education and Skills Development
Mornington BESS is committed to supporting education and workforce development opportunities that help prepare local students for careers in the growing energy sector.
During project operations, the project will partner with Chisholm TAFE to support electrotechnology training opportunities at the Rosebud campus.

Community Infrastructure

During project construction, the project funded upgrades to Thornells Road, Tyabb, improving access and supporting the safe movement of vehicles during project delivery.
